parties with friends

we are really really lucky to have some awesome people in our lives everywhere that we go! salt lake, pennsylvania, now elko.

matt and grace, kevin and stefani, the mills', jordan's work friends, our crossfit friends (work and crossfit are slowly overlapping..) and more. we just are so blessed is all.

jordan played a little indoor soccer over the winter, but now that it's warmed up he gets to play on the outdoor team again. their jersey's are all about coors light. like a boss.

i'm brushing up on my spanish to spectate, and loving on these two little girls who look up to the older girl with her mom's phone and they all decide to take off their jackets and make a tent so they can see whatever they're watching. 

and then we cross the street to matt and grace's for the most delicious bbq dinner: steak, brat, and salad. yummmmm. 

i'm serious. you know that the best way to endear me to you is to feed me, and all these dear friends do just that! bless their hearts, we just love them.

the jessops: we love to hang out with baby drake--who turns 1 tomorrow!!

stefani is my layout buddy, not to mention the times they come over to play games or chat into the night. (aka 10:00 cause our hubbies wake up so blessed early)

plus easter dinner and egg dyeing... ! they are so good to us, we have a blast with them.

crossfit friends: it helps me out that jordan is so popular, so i become popular by proxy. after jordan finished one of the workouts for the open (hence being shirtless) all his buddies gathered around to talk business and admire his work.

and work buddies who party hard, but offer us water and italian sodas

this was our friend molly's birthday, and she got a bit tipsy. she told jordan she really really likes me. and oh it was funny. we played jenga.

and i held cats (a cat). because the dog wouldn't have much to do with me. 

and compared leg sizes....  it was a pretty fun night. they're good people.

this is ardis. you've met her before. she is up there among the world's greatest humans. also she just got two kittens! and is letting me garden at her house. please bless that things grow.

these are her kittens. and if you know of my love for any baby things, you know how much i died about this!!! i came over to take a peek at her garden and the area i have to plant, then sat talking for an hour and i grabbed her kitties and they cuddled up and fell asleep on me/each other! i just died.

update: we're both doing crossfit. i eased into it with kettlebell class (basically modified WODs) and now i have grown and improved a lot and kick those 12:00 ladies' butts! so i go at 9:00am now, except for when i sub. then i got at 5:00pm with jordan.

i thought this was the picture where we both make funny faces. my bad. i was really excited because i finally got a kipping pull up.
cool fact: this month i have improved on my pushups (i quit doing girl pushups 2 months ago), got double unders (jump rope), a strict pull up, and kipping pull ups. it's fun to see improvement. and i am proud of myself. it's way nice to have a reason to get up/out of the house, and socialize with people when i normally don't see anyone during the week (mandy on facetime only half counts)

speaking of friends, our buddy nick needed someone to be at his house to sign for his new bed delivery. and kelli doesn't have anything going on in her life! she can sign for it! (but really.) so i did! and he said i could explore/make myself at home. so i did, and saw that he kept our birthday card!!! ours and his parents'. it made me feel warm inside.

this is nick when he opened his birthday present a month or so ago.

it was a monocle.  

it's funny because he has perfect vision in one eye. he could legitimately wear a monocle. so we got him one.  

necessary to be included in our list of friends and parties is our sunday school kids. they were all in a production of beauty and the beast...! so we paid $20 to go. 

best. decision. ever. just look at those spandex tasseled napkins and glitter utensils! i'm just real sorry for the terrible picture.

mostly it was so so painful to watch...but our kids did a great job and it was fun to see them perform in something they were proud of.

 and our murray friends. that one time mama d and i shoved her gigantic gorilla into richard's tiny trunk...
                                      
and we jammed in zack's golden's parents' super intense music room.

like homemade karaoke. and ryan killed it on guitar. and ashtyn on vocals. we had a blast.

oh and richard on drums. this was a high school buddy get together. and it was good times.

saying goodbye to the whites, who are now our florida friends...! :( so so sad to say goodbye to these great souls. they are making miami a better place..! god bless the white's.

and this is angela. helping me finish up bob for parker because homeboys were getting a little impatient for their monsters to be done. angela is my life saver. she brings us straws and popsicles when we're too sick to leave the house, gives me fresh bread when i run over to take it out of the oven for her, and switches me sunday school subbing for babysitting.

it is so great to be surrounded by so many lovelies. and to have parties on the weekends when we actually stay in town. seriously so blessed.
