on dinners, subbing, and growing things

we got last-minute invited to dinner with the bjorks (b-yorks) (not pictured) because they're trying real hard to sell their house, and wanted us to come take a look at it and were feeding the missionaries and invited us cause what's two more people? 

we had the house tour and ate so much spaghetti. poor jordan's stomach. 

this is don. he challenged jordan to an arm wrestle. 

 left and right handed. ha!

and this is dianna. she also challenged jordan to an arm wrestle.  they are a delight.

i subbed at the middle school this one day. and this kid comes walking in, and flaunts a gigantic bag of gummy worms. he gave me two. and they were the most delicious things... and then he walked out. weirdest thing ever.

also weird: this boy who came in, said he ripped his shirt "roughhousing" and that it was his own fault, and what should he do. ha. he ended up stapling it.

also weird was this other sub who randomly came walking in to "help" with 4th period.

then homeboy with the gummy worms came back. and unceremoniously dumped a handful on my laptop. and it was a sticky mess. which was awful. but awesome that i got more gummy worms!

unrelated to anything in the title: mandy sent me the cutest mail.

and max. mandy and max. sent us the cutest mail. i died. and loved it so so much.

sisters are the BEST.

i planted a poppy from the $1 section at target.

i put it on my porch to get some sunlight. apparently it was a windy day. the pot was gone and my plant was overturned!

but still alive!

i regret to inform you, it didn't survive.
5 days later it is dead dead dead. i suck at growing things. apparently.

please bless that our garden efforts go better.

ardis let us plant in her huge garden space! we planted corn, beans, and spaghetti squash.

i don't think it's going to grow. but i have high hopes for the beans and corn. please please bless.
