my best friend bridget overcame some serious trials and was also blessed with this handsome little man!! they live in seattle, so i have to content myself with pictures of his growth, but my how i love little newborns! i'm so grateful for our knowledge of the plan of salvation, and for new little loves that join our lives...

had to document this jar of pickles that has been with us the length of our marriage... we bought them sometime in the first few months of being wed, stored them in brent and julie's fridge while we lived in pa, and moved them with us to elko. we've been through a lot, those pickles and we.
let me tell you: 2 years is probably fine for pickles--but year 3 was pushin it. who knew vinegar could penetrate those poor cucumbers even m o r e ...?? i kind of coughed every time i took a bite. but i ate them! all of them. and i still love sweet pickles.
the bates family lost their beautiful and loving mother, and i was honored to make a poster for her life celebration. they gave me creative license and i couldn't decide which style, but i sure loved doing it...! man i love lettering. and so so grateful for the plan of salvation..! love you jess. :) still thinking of you and your family!
among all of the sad things happening, i was reminded how blessed i am with wonderful friends..!! seriously... it seems any time i place a food request on facebook-- moments later, BOOM. it's granted.
for instance: these donuts that appeared after i realized that was all that sounded good to me while i was at work..
they were delicious. and i am one lucky girl.
