our mama's very favorite thing is her family. and a close second is camping..! so for her birthday, mandy thought - hey. we should have dad plan a camping trip to get her into the mountains, and we all arrange our schedules to be there and surprise her!
it worked. and it was so so fun!
we were the car parking brigade, because once we got all our things unloaded, we only had a few minutes to get set up until dad kate and mom got back from their hike...
and i have no words for how i feel about these two. surriously the cutest.
thank goodness for technology! because we were able to keep in contact with mandy up at the campsite (of course they had chosen the highest one in the place so we had a serious hike to get back!) and mandy texted me and said "10 minute warning! run!" so i booked it up there to help finish setting up,
and we tied the balloons and garland and got cameras set up in sneaky places to record the video
and set up all her presents in the tent (the cake is plain because her favorite is strawberry shortcake.)
she loved it. and was SO surprised!
we had burgers and tasty juice in adorable mason jars
jordo even made it up to join us!
brad and jess didn't make it, for obvious reasons, and paul had some young mens campout he couldn't get out of. but we had a good time despite the missing loves!
camping morning we made bacon and sausage and eggs and pancakes. it was so tasty.
jordo took max on a little walk cause he needed some freedom. and you can't tell me that this isn't the cutest thing you have ever seen.
happiest of birthdays to my dearest mama!! i love this family of mine so much. what a lucky girl.
